Non-urgent advice: IMPORTANT PATIENT NOTICE
Change to Appointment System – Total Triage
From 2nd February 2026, Basildon Road Surgery will be moving to a Total Triage system.
What is Total Triage?
Total Triage means that all requests for appointments and medical advice are reviewed first by our clinical team. This helps us:
- Ensure patients are seen by the right clinician
- Prioritise urgent problems
- Improve access and safety for all patients
What do I need to do?
All patients will be asked to submit an online request form before an appointment is booked.
👉 Please complete the online form on our website: www.basildonroadsurgery.co.uk
Once your request has been reviewed, we will contact you with:
- An appointment (face-to-face or telephone), or
- Advice, tests, prescriptions, or referral where appropriate
What if I can’t use the internet?
If you are unable to complete the online form, please contact the practice, and our reception team will help you.
Why are we making this change?
Total Triage allows us to:
- Reduce waiting times
- Use appointments more effectively
- Ensure patients with urgent needs are prioritised
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
